Zkseasy Enters Final Stage of IATF 16949 Audit, Poised to Enter Automotive Industry

Recently, the audit expert team for the international automotive quality management system IATF 16949 visited the Jining production base of Shandong Zkseasy Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zkseasy") to conduct the final on-site audit. At the same time, the company is also advancing its RoHS environmental certification application and implementation. By aligning with both quality and environmental certification systems to fully meet international automotive industry access standards, this marks a critical step for this national high-tech enterprise specializing in R&D and manufacturing of miniature servo motors toward the global automotive supply chain.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in the Jining Economic and Technological Development Zone, Zkseasy is a base of the National Robot Innovation Center (Jining) and a Shandong Provincial "Specialized and Sophisticated" enterprise. Its core team comes from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and well-known foreign enterprises in the industry, with nearly 20 years of experience in servo motor R&D. To date, the company has developed four series-15‑flange, 20‑flange, 25‑flange, and 40‑flange-comprising over 60 standard products and industry‑customized products. Among them, the 25‑flange miniature servo motor fills a gap in the domestic market, while the 15‑flange product achieves a precision of 5 microns and weighs only 40 grams, demonstrating strong import substitution capabilities. Its products are widely used in semiconductors, industrial robots, humanoid robots, medical equipment, photovoltaics, intelligent vehicles, and new energy. Some products have already been integrated into the intelligent production lines of leading companies such as Huawei and CATL.

IATF 16949 is a unified quality management system standard for the global automotive industry, developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), incorporating requirements from major global automakers and OEMs. Built on ISO 9001, this standard places greater emphasis on defect prevention, continuous improvement, and the reduction of quality variation and waste in the supply chain. In the automotive industry, IATF 16949 certification is widely recognized as a mandatory "entry pass" to the supply chains of mainstream global automakers-major manufacturers such as Volkswagen, General Motors, Toyota, and Ford require their suppliers at all tiers to obtain this certification. Passing the certification demonstrates that a company has established a quality management system that meets the stringent standards of the automotive industry, capable of fulfilling the extremely high demands for safety, reliability, and consistency in automotive products.

RoHS certification is an internationally recognized environmental compliance standard aimed at restricting the use of ten hazardous substances, including lead, mercury, and cadmium, in electrical and electronic products. China has already issued the mandatory national standard "Requirements for Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" (GB 26572‑2025), aligning RoHS control requirements with international norms. In the automotive sector, an increasing number of OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers require component products to meet RoHS environmental standards to ensure green compliance throughout the supply chain. By simultaneously completing RoHS certification, Zkseasy ensures that its miniature servo motors not only meet the quality management requirements of the automotive industry but also comply with internationally accepted environmental standards regarding hazardous substance control, removing compliance barriers for entry into the global automotive market.

The visit by the IATF 16949 audit expert team marks a significant milestone in Zkseasy's quality management system development. Prior to this, the company had already obtained ISO 9001 international quality system certification and EU CE certification in 2023. From ISO 9001 to IATF 16949, and now concurrently advancing RoHS environmental certification, Zkseasy is holding itself to higher standards driven by both quality and environmental considerations, fully aligning its management systems with international automotive norms.

Industry experts point out that obtaining IATF 16949 certification qualifies a company to supply components to the global automotive industrial chain, while RoHS certification further ensures that products meet international market requirements in terms of environmental compliance. Together, the two certifications constitute a "double guarantee" for automotive component suppliers entering the global supply chain. For Zkseasy, which already serves leading clients such as Huawei and CATL, this certification will pave the way for further expansion into automotive-grade applications including intelligent vehicles, autonomous driving, and LiDAR.

A representative of Zkseasy stated that the company will take this IATF 16949 audit and RoHS certification process as an opportunity to continuously improve its quality and environmental management systems, accelerate the industrial application of miniature servo motors in the automotive field, and help Chinese core components secure a more significant position in the global automotive supply chain.
